Sad news
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved David Pinhay, a devoted Choir member and dear friend.
David joined Nankersey Male Choir in March 1973 and gave almost 53 years of loyal service. His commitment, dedication and steady presence within the choir were truly remarkable. As a proud member of the Second Tenors, David’s voice contributed not only to the harmony of our music but to the spirit and camaraderie that define our choir.
In 1995, David was honoured to serve as Choir President.
Beyond Nankersey, David’s love of choral music took him further afield. He travelled overseas with the Trelawny Choir and performed locally with The Glee Singers.
Behind David stood his devoted wife, Jackie, a wonderful and valued choir supporter who has always been part of our extended choir family.
David’s long tenure, loyal service and gentle friendship leave a lasting legacy.
Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Jackie and all of David’s family at this difficult time.
Well done Colin Blackmore!
We were absolutely delighted when our Choir President, David Foster, presented Colin Blackmore, top tenor, with a certificate marking an extraordinary 45 years of service to Nankersey Male Choir.Singing clearly
