Nankersey Male Choir (NMC) – Cornish Male Voice Choir near Falmouth
Founded in 1950, the choir performs concerts and community events across Cornwall, raising money for charities and local organisations.
IT’S WHAT WE DO!
WE SING…
- For ourselves.
- For our family & friends.
- For all sorts of other people.
- To help raise funds for charities & good causes.
- At special events, like the Sea Shanty Festival.
- At venues all over Cornwall, sometimes with other great choirs.
- Learning new songs and practising old ones.
And have been doing so for many years.
But don't take our word for it...
Nankersey Male Choir is a friendly Cornish male voice choir based in Penryn, near Falmouth. Founded in 1950 in the village of Flushing, our choir has been performing across Cornwall for more than 70 years.
Our members come from Penryn, Mabe, Flushing, Falmouth, Mylor, Constantine, Perranwell and surrounding villages. We sing a wide range of music from the traditional male voice choir repertoire, performing concerts throughout the year at community events and venues across Cornwall.
In 2025 our performances included concerts in Falmouth, Truro, Penzance, St Agnes, St Mawes, Hayle, Frogpool and Mawnan Smith. We regularly collaborate with other musical groups including Mousehole Male Voice Choir, Treverva Male Voice Choir, local bands and community organisations.
Highlights this year include appearances at the Falmouth Sea Shanty Festival, Flushing Village Regatta and the Penryn Christmas Lights switch-on.
